Tonight in Elevate Remix, we’ll be in the book of Acts 13, and we will be looking at two different Instances where Paul and Barnabas are sharing the good news about Jesus Christ with the people around them. We will be looking at how Paul responded to opposition and how Paul’s obedience in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ changed the lives of so many people!
Just think about your YES and what Christ is calling you to in your life. Just imagine what your YES as individuals, students, and families would result in if you said YES to all that Jesus is calling you to!
The Word of the Lord will never be stopped. – Acts 13:1-12 and Acts 13: 13-52.
In your mind, what does it mean to be set apart? Can you give some examples?
What dose set apart mean in this scripture passage?
How did Paul and Barnabas react to the negative feedback that they got in the first passage?
How was their response instrumental in sharing the Word of God with the proconsul in the first passage of scripture?
What was the response to the Jewish crowd on the second day in our second passage?
What was Paul’s response to the rejection of the gospel? (Hint: look in verse 46)
What was the response that was given by Paul in verses 47-49?
Why did Paul and Barnabas shake the dust off their feet?
Tonight is Elevate Remix, and the doors will be opening at 6:00 PM for Spaghetti Wednesday, regular hangout time will start at 6:30 PM, and Remix will be happening from 7:00-8:30 PM.
Tonight, we will be asking the question Do we believe that God will show up even when everything seems impossible?
Our passage for tonight is Acts 12:1-18.
Please encourage your student to bring a Bible and a friend.
Small Group Questions: Acts 12:1-18
How often do we ask God for help, but we don’t expect Him to show up?
How did you think Peter felt about what was going to happen to him in the morning?
How could Peter sleep in chains between guards, with a total of 16 soldiers watching, guarding over him?
Do you think you could you sleep?
What can we learn from Peter in this account?
The next time you pray for help in a tough situation, don’t forget to thank Him for showing up and showing off in your life.
