Dear Elevate Parents and students,
I wanted to update you on some things going on with me, my family, and Elevate:
My wife, Aubree started to feel ill early last week. She immediately went to the doctor and her doctor diagnosed her with a sinus infection, and did not believe it warranted a COVID test. However, on Thursday morning Aubree was alerted that someone she was in contact with on Saturday (November 28) had tested positive for COVID so she and myself immediately got tested. We quarantined while we waited for the results which is why we were not in church this past Sunday. Sunday evening we both got our results. Aubree has tested positive. However, my own tests were negative and I have had no symptoms. But because of Aubree testing positive for COVID our family will continue to quarantine till Saturday.
I wanted to let you know since I was at Elevate this past Wednesday. As you know, we follow strict COVID guidelines while we are together. And as I mentioned earlier, my own tests came back negative. I just felt it was important that you were aware because we take the safety and health of Elevate students very seriously.
I also wanted to let you know that we will be having Elevate Online this week, but we will not have Elevate Live (in person). Our Elevate leadership team felt it’s important to move it completely online for this week due to how many are currently affected in our area. We are still evaluating what to do for December 16, and we will keep you posted.
