On April 29th we are starting a new series at Elevate called “How to Raise Your Parents”. In this series we will be talking about what God says about our relationships with our parents, and how we are called to interact with our parents. To kick off the series we are going to have the students play a “Family Feud” style game based on responses we get from you, the parents. Please take a moment to answer these questions. We hope for this to be a fun and insightful kick off to this important series at Elevate. This survey is only for parents of teenagers.
You can go to the survey here:

Elevate Worship Team practice is TONIGHT (3/12) in The Underground (youth room) at 7pm. This is open to any student (7th-12th graders) who is interested in being a part of the worship for Elevate on Wednesday nights.
Here is a link to our Spotify Playlist that has some of the songs that we will be doing:
On Friday, March 20th the students at Elevate will be serving at God’s Table at the Centenary United Methodist Church here in Laurel. God’s table is a great local ministry where we not only serve meals to people in the community, but we also eat with them. This helps break down the barrier of an “us and them” mentality that we can sometimes get when we serve.
The students at Elevate will be serving the meal, but we also wanted to make this a family affair. So we need your help (the parents) with supplying the food. We will need enough supplies for 30-40 people, and we will need the food delivered to the Centenary United Methodist Church by 5:30pm on Friday, March 20th.
Here is a list of things that we will need:
Main Dish
Variety of Side Dishes
Drinks
Desserts
Paper Product Supplies: utensils, cups, plates, napkins
Please contact Pastor Derek if you are able/willing to help out. Pastor Derek’s email is pastorderekparson@gmail.com or feel free to call/text him.
Stories are powerful: they give us meaning, connect us, encourage us, motivate us, teach us, and give us focus. And, each one of us has a story worth sharing! During this series we will be talking about the power of our stories, looking at our own faith journey, and how we can tell our story.
Week #1:The Power of Story (March 11)
Week #2: Our Faith Journey (March 18)
