Good afternoon, I want to share with you a way to help fund your student’s way for our activities here at LNC. That would be through your student’s Teen Account. We will have ample opportunities for your student to raise funds for Winter Retreat, ball games, Nazarene Youth Congress (grades 8-12), and other LNC fun activities.
Think of the Teen Account as a bank account that your students can pay for events through. Money can be added to it through fundraisers, and you or your students can deposit money directly into this account by giving the money to P. Caleb and instructing him to add it to your student’s account.
Some of our upcoming fundraisers are the Chicken BBQ and Mission Cafe’ in October. We would highly encourage you and your student to participate and watch their fund grow.
If you have any questions, please contact P. Caleb.
CHICKEN BBQ – Elevate Youth Fund Raiser – at Laurel Nazarene Church, 94 Walnut Street, Laurel, DE. -take out only.
There will be a BBQ coming on Saturday, October 5, from 11:00 a.m. – until it is gone.
The dinner includes BBQ chicken, chips, baked beans, and a dinner roll.
Make sure you get a plate of this delicious food by coming and getting a plate that Saturday!
The cost is $8 cash or $9 card.
Support your LNC students and get your BBQ.
Please share and spread the word!
(Your students can earn money to go towards their Teen Account by your families donating food and participating in this fundraiser. Be on the lookout for the list of things that will be needed and the ways to help participate.)
This next Sunday, Sep. 22nd, is our Church Picnic at Trap Pond State Park. It will be happening after the Sunday Worship Service. Admission to the park is $4.00 for in-state cars and $8.00 for out-of-state cars.
The address to the park is 33587 Bald Cypress Ln. Laurel De 19956.
When you get to the park, enter through the main entrance and continue to the covered pavilion near the Nature Center.
This is a great way for your students to get money to put into their student account for events for the Youth group!!
All they need to do is to sign up for a particular Sunday and bring a food item in for that specific week for Mission Café or sign up to help run the area for that specific week.
This is on a first come first serve basis for those who want to volunteer to bring food or to run the café.
All the profits that will be brought in on that particular Sunday will be split between the Student’s Teen Accounts, who helped run Mission Café on a particular Sunday.
There will be an Elevate Parent Meeting Sunday, Sept. 8th, after the Sunday morning service. Parents, this is a great meeting to hear where we are going in our teaching series.
We will also be going over some of our major events as well as starting to discuss fundraising opportunities that we have coming up for your students. We can’t wait to see you all there!!
We are ready for an awesome fall here at Elevate, check out what we have planned. These will be available for download on Elevateparents.org, and we will also have them printed out for the students to take home this week.
Join us tonight here at Elevate to hear some awesome student testimony about how God showed up in their lives this summer. God is on the move here in this world. All we need to do is keep our eyes and ears open to see what God is up to!!
Elevate will be going to play Mini Golf this Wednesday night! We will be meeting here at LNC at 5:30 PM, and we will be pulling out soon after. We are going to Old Pro on 68th Street, and the cost for one game is $12.00. Also, make sure to bring money for Ice cream afterward. We will keep you as parents, informed on when we will be returning to LNC.
Please reach out to P. Caleb if you have any questions about the night.
Elevate will be going to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom to celebrate the End of the Summer!!
Here is what you need to know!! The cost of this is $45.00 per ticket for the day, but your student will need to bring additional money for dinner in the park.
Students, this is a great opportunity to invite your friends to Elevate and an Elevate Event!!
On Saturday, August 17th, we will be leaving LNC at 7 AM to head to go to Dorney Park. This means pulling out of the church at 7 AM, which means you should get here no later than 6:45 AM to figure out seating arrangements for the trip.
We will be eating lunch outside the park as a group (This is a nonnegotiable meeting time for us as a group.)
We will also meet at 5:30 PM at the front entrance of the park to take our group photo and then load up to return to LNC by 9:30 PM.
We will all be meeting here at LNC, and no student will be driving to Dorney Park.
Everyone going with the group to Dorney Park must fill out the Annual Release Form for LNC (This includes all Adults on the trip.)
If your student attended the Elevate Winter Retreat in 2024, I already have your Student Annual Release Form for LNC.
You can find that in the Forms section of the registration.
This is also the first event for our new incoming 7th graders!!! Parents of the new 7th graders, you’re more than welcome to join us for this trip if your student would like.
Here is what you need to have and or bring for the trip:
Comfortable shoes for the park
A swimsuit for the water park if you want to go there. (Please make sure that it is appropriate for a Church group. It is important to note that we reserve the right to determine if your swimsuit is inappropriate for the group.)
A change of clothing
Sunscreen
A drawstring bag or some bag to carry all of your things.
Money for dinner in the park.
Money for any snacks and souvenirs in the park if you would like.
Your student is responsible for all the items they bring into the park.
Student Group:
If your student was in High School during the 2023-2024 school year, your student may be in a group without a leader, but the group must always be three or more.
If your student were in middle school 8th and down in the 2023-2024 school year, your student would be in a group with an adult at all times in the park.
We here at Elevate reserve the right to call you as parents to come pick up your students from the park and or the trip if they are destroying property and or disobeying directions willingly.
