Good afternoon, Remix Parents and Students,

Here is a quick reminder of what will be happening in youth ministry this week. Tonight, Thursday, October 16th, the doors will open at 6:30 PM, and Youth Group will take place from 7:00-8:30 PM. 

This week in Remix will be in Acts chapter 5. We will be focusing on Acts 5:17-42, and we will be asking questions like “ How are we supposed to share the good news about Christ?”  

• Please encourage your students to bring a friend and their Bible!

If your students, are not able to make it to group this week, I would encourage you and your families to read the chapter 5 of Acts for the week and talk through the questions below. 

Acts 5: 17-42 The Apostles Persecuted   

1.    What sort of trials did the apostles face? 

2.    What door was opened for the apostles? 

3.    What did they need to go back to doing once they left the jail? 

4.    What happened to the men who were teaching who were not Jesus and what happened to their followers after their death?

5.    What was different about Jesus‘ followers?

6.    Were the disciples stopped from teaching?

7.    What is our responsibility when it comes to spreading the Gospel? 

8.    How are we supposed to share the good news about Christ?

The Great Pumpkin Bash – Oct 30th 

Remix 7:00- 8:30

Come on out for our annual Fall costume party and games. We will be having a meal before the party at 6 pm in the Johnson Center.

Students come on out for food, games, and prizes!!

The winners of the costume contest will get a Chick-fil-A gift card! Also, if you bring a friend, you and your friend will get a prize!!

– Big News, every student who is attending the Fall Retreat from LNC will be getting a $75 Scholarship!! Remix will be going to a Fall Retreat on Nov 7th – 9th at Camp Hebron in Halifax, PA! This retreat will replace our winter retreat. Registration closes at midnight on Monday, October 20th. The cost is $175. (The scholarship will take the cost down to $100) 

– Please submit all payments to LNC so we can get your student the Scholarship.

⁃ If you have any questions or need financial assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We want all of our students to be able to attend this Fall Retreat.

Registration closes at midnight on Monday, October 20th.

We will be partnering with the Laugh Out Loud Ministry and Orphanage to be the hands and feet of Jesus, “The Church”. They are in need of soap. We are asking students to bring in one bar of soap by Oct. 16th so it can be mailed to the Orphanage in Belize.

Tomorrow, is see you at the Pole at your schools. This is an opportunity for your students to gather together to pray for their school. Below you will see the See You at the Pole handout!  

The NYC 2026 Registration deadline is quickly approaching, and along with that comes the first deadline for payment, which is $600 by October 1st.

Here is what I am asking of you when it comes to making payment for NYC 26: I would like each of our families who are making payments for NYC to send that money into their student account that way we can send one large check for our church.

This method would allow you and your family to take full advantage of the Student Account money that your student has earned through fundraising. It would also allow me to keep track of the payments that your students have made towards NYC 26.

I will not be able to make any payment for your students if they do not have the funds in their accounts, so please make sure that your student has enough for the $600 deposit that is coming up on October 6th.

Also, make sure to fill out the NYC Trading Card Questionnaire and send me a headshot of your students for their trading card for the sponsor letter fundraiser. The link is below.

• No Spaghetti this week!!

This week in Remix will be in Acts chapter 2. We will be focusing on Acts 2:42-47, and we will be asking questions like “What does it mean to be in fellowship with other believers?”

If you, students, are not able to make it to group this week, I would encourage you and your families to read the chapter of Acts for the week and talk through the questions below.

Good evening parents, Remix will be attending the Community Revival tomorrow night! We will be going to experience some amazing worship and teaching. We will be meeting at LNC at 6pm tomorrow to depart for the Community Revival at 6:15 pm. We will return to the Church around 8:30-8:45 pm, depending on traffic.
