Elevate Sunday is THIS SUNDAY (7/29) during both services at LNC.  Students will be sharing about MAD Teen Camp, leading in worship, preaching, helping serve in other areas of the worship service, and one of our students is getting baptized.  It’s gonna be a GREAT day!

Worship team needs to be there by 7:15am and students helping need to be there at 8am.  Come wearing this year’s camp t-shirt or an Elevate t-shirt.

• toiletries/items for getting ready
• flashlight
• swimsuit (modest),
• clothes (clothes that can get wet and a set of clothes that can get dirty)

DEPARTURE: The vans will be departing from the Laurel Nazarene Church at 8:00am on Monday Morning (7/23).  So, please arrive a little before then to get your luggage loaded.

ARRIVAL BACK HOME: We plan on arriving back at the Laurel Nazarene Church by 6:00pm on Friday Evening (7/27).  Please do not park in front of the church side doors so that the van has a place to park.

PHONE POLICY: when the students arrive at camp they will be turning in their phones to Pastor Derek who will lock them in his room for the week.  This is to give students a sabbath from the “hyper-connection and noise” that phones can bring.  We believe that one of the best ways to create a space for God to work in the lives of students is through face-to-face community. In an effort to focus on forming in-the-moment relationships, we are asking (read: requiring) students to keep their phones at home this year.  Pastor Derek will have his phone on him at all times.  So if you need to get ahold of your child for any reason you can call or text his phone.  His phone will also be available for students if they need to contact you for any reason.

We will be done by 11pm.

We will be discussing Teen Camp, NYC, and this fall at Elevate.  Every parent who comes gets a free Elevate water bottle and will have a chance to win this summer’s Elevate t-shirt!
