We will be discussing what is coming up this Summer for Elevate, unveiling the summer calendar, and other information that you will want to know.
We have reached the final day of Missions Road Trip 2017. For our 5th day we worked at Fawn Grove Compassion Center. The students continued their work from yesterday organizing and packing clothes into banana boxes.
They also weighed, labeled, and documented each box before organizing the boxes in the warehouse.

The team packed a total of 109 boxes. These boxes will be sent all over the world to people in need.
We then stopped for lunch. After lunch we had our final group time where we shared about what memories and God Moments we will be taking back with us from MRT. They then had a final quiet journal time.
The entire group worked really hard this week, and made a big difference for there Kingdom of God. I (Pastor Derek) encourage every parent to ask their teenagers about the week and how God “messed” with them during this experience.
I do want to take a moment to thank Barb for helping lead during this trip. She is always a huge help, and did so much to make this year’s MRT a meaningful experience for students.
Since this will be my last daily recap for MRT 17 I want to end with a prayer that we prayed every morning together as a group before we started our day. This prayer is commonly referred to as the St Francis Prayer:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is dispair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen
