What is up, Elevate Family! 

I hope that you all are having a great week!!  

I have an exciting update for all of you about Serve the Shore on July 14^th and 15^th. I met with the Project Leader for our service project and found out that we will be building a wheelchair ramp for a World War 2 veteran the day before his 99th birthday. Along with that update, I also got all the release forms for this project together from them. So if your student would like to join, I need you and your student to fill out the documents ASAP. That way, we can get T-Shirt sizes for all of our students!

Your student must attend the service project on July 14th to go with us to the beach on July 15th.

The form is at the bottom of this post.  

After you fill out the Google Form for this event, you will receive an e-mail with an additional form from the organization. From what they told me when we met to talk about the project, they were trying to get a tv crew to highlight this project for the local news; that is the reason for the final form.

There is no cost for this event other than the money they would want to bring for any additional snacks at Wawa on July 14th and lunch on July 15th when we are at OC for our Beach day. Your students are responsible for their own spending money these days. 

Dress Code for the Beach: This is for all students. Please be sure to wear a modest bathing suit when we go to the beach. (Please bring your own beach towel and sunscreen for this day.)

Time frame/Plan for the Weekend.

·      July 14^th : 

–       We will be meeting at the Church at 7:50 AM to head down to the work project. 

–       We will be proving Lunch

–       Our goal is to return to the church around 4:00 PM, but we will keep you all up to date on our arrival time back at the church. 

Things to bring/ be prepared for: 

1.     A refillable water bottle 

2.     Work gloves

3.      Be dressed and ready to do some work. 

4.     Sunscreen

5.     Spending money for snacks at Wawa if they would like. 

·      July 15^th

–       We will be leaving the church at 8:30 AM to go to Cross Pointe. There we will be meeting up with the other churches that will be joining us for this day down at OC. 

–       Lunch: Students are to bring their own lunch money.

o   Rules for lunch: 

o   Students must stick together in groups of three if they are going to get lunch without an adult in their group. If your student is found by them selves and refuses to remain in a group of three, I would like to reserve the right to call you as parents to come pick them up from the beach. 

I will inform the students of this rule leading up to the beach day as well as the day of. My goal is to keep your students safe as well as have fun. 

–    We will be leaving the Beach down in OC around 2:00 PM to return back to the Church.

o   We will keep up to date on our estimated arrival time back to the church.

Hello and happy Saturday, 

I hope everyone in the Elevate family is having a great weekend and summer vacation. I know that this time of the year can be hectic for many of you as summer gets started with all sorts of summer sports camps and vacation plans. Please know that I have been praying and will continue praying for you and your families. 

I just wanted to take a few moments to highlight some things that have happened as well as share some updates on some of the events that are coming up for Elevate. Last week we had a blast at our Summer Kick-off Party! I want to thank all the parents who donated food and time to help make that party possible. It was awesome. 

Now, here come the updates and reminders! 

I am still missing money for some of your students for Teen Camp, so please get that to me as soon as possible. 

–       June 29^th, Regular Elevate down in the Underground.  

–       July 6^th, We will be heading to the Shorebirds game. 

o   Sign-up in the underground and there is still time to sign-up but the time is running short. 

o   –Tickets cost $12.00 per person, and the money is due by July 3rd

o   -We will be meeting at the church at 6:30 pm on the 6^th to head to the ball game

o   -we will be returning to the church after the Game

o   – bring your own money for food (it is also important to know that the baseball park is cashless) 

–       July 9^th The Church is holding a free community car wash, and I would love for our students to participate in this activity to display the love of Christ to our Community. 

–       July 13^th Regular Elevate down in the Underground.  

–       July 14^th and 15^th We will be combining with Cross Point youth group to serve the Eastern Shore. 

o   We will be doing a service day on July 14^th, and then we will be having a beach day on the 15^th. 

o   The sign-up sheet is in the Underground. 

o   Students will need to attend the Service Day on the 14^th to go with us to the beach. 

o   Students will need to bring money for snacks and drinks that they would want to get on the 14^thas well as money for lunch on the 15^th.

o   We will leave the church both days at 8:00 Am and return to the church in the evening. I will have more details on our return time and more information on our service project as we get close to this event. (Please understand that this information is subject to change as e get closer to this event, but I will keep you all updated on this.)   

Let’s go watch some baseball Elevate!! Join us for a night at the ball field on July 6th. Tickets are $12.00 a person and the money is due on July 3rd.

What is up, Elevate family? 

I hope that you all are doing well and you are having a great start to your summer. I have a special announcement for all of the Graduating Seniors. This next Sunday, June 12th, is Graduation Sunday, and we here at Elevate want to celebrate this monumental accomplishment. We will recognizing our seniors at the beginning of the service. I want to invite all of our Elevate seniors and their parents to attend this Sunday’s service.

At the service’s beginning, I will call our seniors up front with their parents to stand beside them, in alphabetical order according to their last name. Once everyone is upfront, I will hand a microphone to one of the parents standing with the student to read their blessing verse over their student. Please try to keep it to just the verse of blessing because we have several students to recognize for this accomplishment. We will keep moving right down the line until everyone has had a verse of blessing read over them by their parent. After that, I will pray over all our Graduates and their parents, and then everyone will return to their seats.

Every High School graduate will be receiving an Elevate journal and an Elevate alumni pin.      
Students do not need to be wearing their cap and gown for this. Parents, please have the verse you selected ready to be read. I will have paper copies on hand if needed. 

I am looking forward to celebrating your student’s accomplishments this next Sunday!! 

There is still time to signup for Teen Camp 2022!!Just go to https://madnyi.com/teen-camp/ to register for camp. We are past the early bird rate, so the cost for camp is $295. But there is still some good news LNC is still offering a $125 scholarship for all students attending Teen Camp this year. 

When registering your students for camp, you need to select pay by check to receive this scholarship. You will need to send me confirmation of registration for camp. This can be sent to me by email. After that, you will need to send in a check payable to Laurel Nazarene Church for the balance for Teen Camp.

Also, for those of you that have already registered for Teen Camp, we still need to get the remainder of your payment for Teen Camp! 

Graduation Sunday is almost here, and if you have not contacted me with information about your Graduates, please reach out to me. We here at Elevate want to celebrate these considerable accomplishments in the lives of your students. We are excited to see what God is doing and what He continues to do in their lives. Graduation Sunday is next Sunday June 12^th during the Sunday Service. So if you have a student graduating high school or college this year, would you please contact me by email so I can send you the Graduation Questionnaire form.

Elevate families, below you will find the link to download the permission slip form for all summer 2022 Elevate activities. This is the same document that was available at the Parent meeting last Sunday, May 29th. Just as a quick reminder, I need to have one for each of your students before going to any Elevate events off-campus for the church. This is just a safety measure that I feel is necessary.
