Good News Parents of ELEVATE teens!!!
We have a prospective new youth pastor that Pastor Garry has interviewed. We would like to do an informal “meet and greet” with parents and teens on Friday March 4th at 7:00p.m. in the ELEVATE room at church. This would be a time for you to meet and ask questions and get to know the candidate. The adult leaders have already met the candidate and we are excited to introduce him to our awesome teen’s parents. This is not like the hiring of a lead pastor, there will not be an all church vote. However, Pastor Garry would like your input and the candidate will also be interviewed by the church board. If you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to reach out to Pastor Garry or one of the ELEVATE adult sponsors. We look forward to seeing you Friday the 4th at 7:00!
Thanks for all you do to support our ELEVATE teens!
Wayne, Kathy, & Sarah
P.S. Snacks will be provided!
Hello Elevate parents! If your student is attending Winter Retreat this year and has a food allergy please let Sarah, Kathy, or Wayne know so we can email you the form from Black Rock for their meals. Black Rock is great about being allergy friendly and they will make sure there is good food available for your student!
Thank you!
Tonight Elevate had a guest speaker from Zoe ministries of Delaware, Sharon Stevens. Sharon spoke to our teens about human trafficking and the realities of modern day slavery. We understand that this subject can create many questions and thoughtful discussions and we wanted to prepare you if your student has questions or wishes to discuss this subject with you.
While this very serious matter was discussed there was no graphic or disturbing imagery discussed by the guest speaker, we understand that this can be a very sensitive and hard topic to discuss and your student may have questions that they want to discuss with you. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to Kathy Wayne or Sarah. Thank you and thank you for the opportunity to minister to your students.
