On Monday, August 4th, we will be leaving LNC at 8:00 AM to head to Teen Camp. This means pulling out of the church at 8 AM. Please arrive no later than 7:45 AM to pack the trailer and figure out seating arrangements.

1. IMPORTANT: Your students will need lunch money for the trip to Camp on the 4th.
2. We will be returning to LNC on August 8th- Be on the lookout for a return time once we depart the campground on the 8th.

We are still having Elevate Remix on July 30th!! 

But here is a quick update for all of you! There will be no spaghetti on Wednesday, July 30th.

We have some updates to share with you regarding the Youth Ministry Schedule for August. Please review the dates and changes for youth ministry in August and mark your calendars!!

Also, make sure that you are here for the Parent Meeting on August 24th here at Laurel Nazarene Church. This is a meeting for all parents and students. (This includes incoming 7th-grade students and parents.)

Tomorrow night, July 23rd, Remix will be going to play Mini Golf. We will be meeting here at LNC at 5:30 PM, and we will be leaving soon after. We are going to Old Pro on 68th 
Street, and the cost for one game is $12.00.

Also, make sure to bring money for ice cream afterward.

We will keep you, as parents, informed about when we will be returning to LNC.

LNC Students and Parents, NYC is right around the corner! That means fundraising events are in full swing! Parent’s Night Out on August 15th is the first of many fundraising opportunities for students to not only raise money towards NYC26 but also to raise money for future Remix youth events. Students must participate and be present at the fundraiser to receive the money that was raised from the event. All the money that will be raised will be put in your student’s teen account. Please have your students let Pastor Caleb know if they will be participating in this fundraising event.

The flyer and the link will be posted on the Church Facebook page and or you can grab some from the Youth room and pass them out.

So parents and students, please share and let others know about this opportunity for child care on August 15th from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Elevate Remix will be going to the Shorebirds on July 2nd! Also, we will be attending this game with Crosspointe! Tickets cost $13 plus money for food at the ballpark, and the park has gone cashless. Please arrive at LNC at 5:45 PM to leave by 6:00 PM. We will keep you updated on a return time!

This is happening next week!! Please let me know if your student is planning on attending this event. I need to make sure that I get enough tickets.

Serve The Shore is right around the corner; it is happening July 9th – 11th. 

–  The deadline to register to get a T-shirt is quickly approaching. (July 2nd)

Serve the Shore is our annual service project that has been happening now for the last several years. We get to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community here on the Eastern Shore. The cost for Serve the Shore is $20 a person. This will include a T-shirt and lunch for the weekend. This event will take place from July 9th through the 11th. Be sure to sign up in the youth room or the church app. 

This event does take place over several days, but students should be done and on their way home around 5:00 PM each day.  We will be sure to keep you as parents updated on travel times and arrival times when you need to come pick up your students from LNC.

– Lunch will be provided each day, and we will also make sure that your student has enough water, but refillable water bottles are recommended.  

– We are also recommending that your students wear closing that they don’t mind getting dirty in. Make sure that your students bring work gloves and closed-toed shoes for the work projects.

– Your student will also be getting a T-shirt for this event.

–  We are also planning to have one fun activity each day after we are done serving.

o   Thursday – As of right now, we are planning on doing Jelly ball (think paintball with orbs)

o   Friday – Water Games 

July 9th – Serve The Shore will be happening during our regular youth ministry meeting time at LNC in the sanctuary.

The workdays on July 10th and 11th, we’ll start at 9:00 AM at LNC, and the day will conclude around 4:30 each day. (Arrival times may vary depending upon travel back to LNC). Students will be staying in their own homes and will be returning to the church for the following days. 

July 10th – We will be serving here locally in Laurel in several different locations that Thursday. Our locations include here at our own church (LNC), Love Ink, and St. John’s Preschool. 

July 11th – We will be serving at the Crosspointe Church of the Nazarene in Salisbury, MD, and helping with the Heal of the City Ministry.
